The birth of a young black couple’s first child brings with it happiness, but also agony. The newborn’s father experiences and expresses his dilemmas regarding the arrival, coexistence, and departure of his beloved firstborn.

Alex Reis is a young black Brazilian filmmaker who seeks, through art, to explore narratives that engage with collective experiences. In Morto Não, he seeks to expand the dialogue on black fatherhood, mourning and resistance, bringing to light an excerpt from a work that is rarely seen by the general public.
