Veterinarian Esther spends every spare moment of her time searching with her dogs for people who have gone missing, alongside her partner in work and life, Janette. But her ability to find bodies that have been deemed untraceable by the police comes with a price. Her relationship with Janette suffers, and she gets into trouble with the authorities, who struggle with the phenomenon of citizen investigation.
