Filmmaker Mark Forbes’ documentary examines classism that has plagued the UK film industry for decades through the lens of individuals from working-class backgrounds. We observe the challenges they encounter when attempting to enter the field.

Opening short film: The Secret Assistants dir. Katey Lee Carson (UK, Fiction, 20m).

A novice director must choose between ambition and integrity when her interview with a titan of the industry descends into a squalid power-play.

Katey will be a guest on the panel along with other industry professionals to be announced. The panel will discuss the issues of classism and power-play as raised in the films. Come and see two great films and join in the discussion.
