Directed by: Sheila Daniels
With a salute to both the great Hollywood musicals and classic British cinema of the 1940s and 50s, we step back in time to the summer of 1943, with the arrival of a US Air Force unit and its impact on the lives of a small community in rural England.
Sheila came to London in 1987 to train as an actor and attended Drama Studio London. She then went on to appear in several West End shows as well as singing in clubs and restaurants across London.
Sheila has been teaching singing in Ashford, Kent for nearly 13 years. In 2016, Sheila showcased ‘Somewhere in England’ as a professional micro musical at New Wimbledon Studio, London, where it ran for 7 sold-out performances. In 2025, she decided to re-imagine SIE for film, to coincide with the 80th Anniversary of the end of the WWII. Bringing together her long-time musical collaborator, Jon Spanyol, to produce the music and her Film degree graduate son, Tom Daniels, to shoot and edit the project.
