A woman goes on a journey through the garden of her mind to process and heal from the trauma of sexual assault.
Directed by: Sarah Beeby
Gardening is set in the mind of a woman called Leonora, whose inner world is represented metaphorically as a garden filled with anthropomorphised plants buzzing with life force. In the aftermath of sexual assault, Leonora retreats into the garden of her mind. Searching for answers and struggling to do the ‘right thing’, she realises that she must regain her voice and find new paths to healing before she and her garden are destroyed completely.
