The Stage

The Stage is about performances that give the performers life. Expressions of self, culture, identity. Little carved out times and spaces where people can go off. Do the things that the wider world doesn’t understand. If we’re lucky we all find our stage. The five episodes profile a Caribbean carnival in Brooklyn, a female Muay Thai fighter, a no-ring death match wrestler, a noise artist, and clown drag performers. All distinct and disparate pursuits connected by a desire to be seen and heard authentically.
